All-Star Lineup To Tour As Eric Burdon & The Animals

Eric Burdon has put together a new band to tour as Eric Burdon & The Animals. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame singer/songwriter (The Animals, WAR) has teamed up with keyboardist Steve Molitz (Particle), guitarist Eric McFadden (Stockholm Syndrome, P-Funk), percussionist Wally Ingram (Sheryl Crowe, Jackson Browne), drummer Eric Bolivar (Anders Osborne, Pimps of Joytime) and bassist Ron Johnson (KDTU, Warren Haynes Band). The group will hit the road in support of Burdon’s new album ‘Til Your River Runs Dry, though they will also be playing a mix of new and old material, including classic songs by The Animals and WAR. Burdon, Molitz and McFadden will also team up with The Roots for the debut performance of the band’s new single “Water” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this Monday, January 28.

In other news, Molitz is currently in the studio working with Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson on a follow up to Robinson’s 2011 release Through A Crooked sun. More information on that album will be available in the future.

This feels like a really odd story/set up/tour. Good luck to everyone involved.

I have seen Burdon perform well over 50 times in the last 25 years (I am 35, my dad is a superfan). Most shows are pretty much the same in terms of setlist, however, the guy can blow. I have been saying he needs to get into the jam scene to thrive since 95 – finally! He will impress anyone who goes out to see him.

Not that odd, as Eric Burdon lives in Joshua Tree and so does Wally Ingram. Wally also happens to be in Stockholm Syndrome with Eric McFadden….I’m sure you can continue to play the six degrees of Kevin Bacon with this one.

Interesting. I saw Eric Burden and the Animals and it was….well, they played House of the Rising Sun which was all I came for. Thinking this lineup will impress and be more than a nostalgia act.

It’s so cool to me that Eric keeps going strong. I read his book life story (don’t let me be misunderstood) it’s was such great inspiration as a singer myself.

just saw Eric and the Animals at Casino Rama , Orillia show, he’s better than ever and his bandmates were superlative, his voice is incredible, his songs portray interesting life stories, his voice is impressive and stonger than Mick J’s , just missed hearing Sky Pilot

Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Eric Burdon come to Melbourne Australia – I listen to him everyday – my preferences are the 60s but his lastest album is brilliant – especially 27 Forever!
