Andrew Bird, Shovels and Rope and The Lone Below are the first acts confirmed for this year’s Newport Folk Festival. As previously reported, this year’s festival will return to Newport, RI’s Fort Adams Park from July 26-28. All three acts were confirmed on the festival’s Facebook page this afternoon. Shovels and Rope and The Lone Below are both first time festival performers. Many additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
