Several guests sat in with Yonder Mountain String Band during the past few days. On Friday, the band performed at Asheville, NC’s Orange Peel. During their encore, the members of Yonder Mountain String Band invited out openers Lake Street Dive for the Grateful Dead’s “New Speedway Boogie” and “Shake Me Up.”

Two days earlier Yonder headlined Charlottesville, VA’s Jefferson Theater. Near the end of Yonder’s first set, the group invited out area residents and Infamous Stringdusters members Andy Falco (guitar) and Chris Pandolfi (banjo) to play on “Kentucky Mandolin” and “Come Together.” Later in the evening, they returned to the stage at the end of Yonder’s second set for “Vamp In The Middle” and “No Expectation.” Del McCoury Band fiddler Jason Carter—who toured for the band for a few shows in January—also sat in throughout the entire night.

Yonder will perform at Columbus, OH’s LC Pavilion this evening.
