Dave Grohl will assemble an all-star lineup for a one-off performance at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on February 13. The group, dubbed the Sound City Players, will be comprised of Grohl’s Nirvana and Foo Fighters band mates (Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett) as well as Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Fear’s Lee Ving, Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Alain Johannes, Chris Goss and other artists to be announced.

The show will feature music created for the Grohl-directed documentary Sound City and the film’s soundtrack, Sound City – Real To Reel. Classic songs from the various performers’ careers will also be played at the once in a lifetime concert. Tickets to this special show go on sale on Tuesday, February 5 at 4pm EST.
