It may have been over two decades in the making, but My Bloody Valentine finally released the follow up to their iconic 1991 album Loveless last night. The announcement came as a complete surprise, with the band confirming the imminent release of mbv just a few hours before it became available for download around midnight. Unsurprisingly, the site crashed almost immediately. In an interesting move, the group put all of the album’s nine tracks on YouTube for fans to listen to for free. You can purchase the mbv as a 16bit 44.1 K WAV file, 320kbps MP3 or 24bit 96 K WAV file here. The album is also available on CD and 180-gram vinyl.
