After spending 2012 playing some of his largest headlining shows, Bassnectar will focus on more intimate East Coast venues this spring. The EDM star, whose given name is Lorin Ashton, will kick off his spring tour in Burlington, VT on April 24. The tour will continue down the East Coast for three weeks along with visits from the Ambassador’s Busnectar. Rotating direct support will include Michal Menert,GriZ, Archnemesis and Up Until Now. Thirftworks will also be opening the show on all dates. The tour wraps up in Chattanooga on May 12.

“In the last two years we have expanded to large venues and arenas and that has been fulfilling and fun,” Bassnectar said in a statement. “However, there is nothing like the feeling of the more intimate clubs and theaters . I wanted to find some tighter options and put together a nonstop 3 week rollercoaster of ram-packed rooms which feel like they are exploding from the inside out. It’s basically a run of festivals until the fall, so this short blitz is our chance to go completely buck wild before summertime.”
