Local Natives celebrated the release of their sophomore album Hummingbird with a sold out three-night New York run this past weekend. On Friday, the band performed at Brooklyn, NY’s Music Hall of Williamsburg while on Saturday and Sunday the group setup shop at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.

Friday’s Music Hall show was also broadcast for free online via promoters Bowery Presents’ YouTube page. During their set, Local Natives invited out area hero and The National guitarist Aaron Dessner for one of Hummingbird‘s tracks, “Heavy Feet.” Dessner produced the new studio album at his home studio, which is located in the Ditmas Park section of Brooklyn. Local Natives will perform at Leeds, UK’s Social Club this Friday.
