Red Bull Music Academy has announced its 2013 event series, set to take place in New York from April 28 to May 31. The five-week festival will have over 230 performers featured in 34 shows that will include concerts, curated club nights, installations, film screenings and public conversations. Brian Eno will bring his audio-visual installation 77 Million Paintings to New York for the festival during the entire month of May, and will also participate in an “Illustrated Talk” on May 6 to discuss his creative processes. On May 23, Santos Party House will host United States of Bass, featuring New York’s own Afrika Bambaataa, LA’s Egyptian Lover, Baltimore’s DJ Scottie B, Miami’s DJ Magic Mike and many others. Other artists slated to appear at Red Bull events during the festival include James Murphy, Kim Gordon, Erykah Badu, Four Tet, Masters At Work as well as hundreds more.
