MicroBlue, you may be getting old but a lot of people (regardless of age) feel the same way you do. Electronic music has become increasingly relevant, and personally I think a lot of good has come along with the trend. Like you, I don’t gravitate towards a show with one guy just tweaking his iPad or Laptop, but there is some really great music that has been created by just one person doing their DJ thing. For example check out Emancipator, RJD2, Elliot Lipp, even Pretty Lights. Personally if your going to incorporate electronic elements into your music I truly enjoy the bands that do so and still keep the majority of their sound organic and true to the band dynamic of actually playing your instruments! I absolutely love & enjoy bands like STS9, Lotus, Papadosio, Conspirator… hell even String Cheese has begun use more electronic elements in their live shows and some new tunes. When you take a step back and look, It’s all music and it’s all creative even if it’s not a “band” I suppose whatever’s clever when it comes to music and what moves you. – BV
