The National have confirmed both a new studio album and their first round of summer tour dates. The announcement comes shortly after the band announced their biggest headlining show to date, an appearance at Brooklyn, NY’s Barclay’s Center.

The Ohio-bred, Brooklyn-based group will release their first album since 2010’s High Violet this May on AD. The group’s new dates include stops at Columbia, MD’s Merriweather Post Pavilion (6/6), Columbus, OH’s LC Pavilion (6/15),Cincinnati, OH’s Bunbury Festival (7/4) and a trip to Europe.
