Tea Leaf Green will release their new studio album In The Wake on May 14. Recorded at Coyote Hearing in Oakland, the new album features 13 new, never preformed tracks as well as guest appearances by Dan Lebowitz (ALO), Leslie Helpert and the Jazz Mafia Horns. The album was funded through a Kickstarter campaign.

The Bay Area band has now confirmed an official release party at San Francisco’s The Independent on May 18. The show will feature two sets from TLG, the first of which will be the new album front-to-back, marking the first time any of the material from In The Wake will be heard in a live setting. Special guests from the album will also join the band during the evening.

In addition, Tea Leaf Green will play two additional shows around the release of In The Wake. On May 10, the band will visit Los Angeles’ Roxy Theatre and kick off the night with a performance of their 2005 album Taught to Be Proud in its entirety. The next night they’ll headline San Diego’s the Belly Up and perform 2003’s Living In Between. Each night will feature two sets of music and copies of the new album In The Wake will also be available for purchase in advance of the release date.
