Roots drummer ?uestlove, who has performed at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl more than any other musician, started a flurry of rumors when he tweeted that the Bowl would host a big show on Monday. While many fans were hoping that Prince would stop by the venue after his Late Night with Jimmy Fallon appearance this evening, the Bowl has now revealed that the evening’s surprise guest is the reclusive D’Angelo.

?uestlove and D’Angelo will play a two man show billed as The Soulquarians: Brothers in Arms. The Roots drummer pried D’Angelo out of retirement this past summer for a surprise set during Bonnaroo’s annual SuperJam. It was the R&B stars first show since 2000. D’Angelo is currently finishing a new, ?uestlove-produced album.
