Page McConnell has officially confirmed the release of his second album, Unsung Cities And Movies Never Made. The all-instrumental album will be release as a Record Store Day exclusive.

McConnell posted the following on Facebook:

On Record Store Day 2013, Page McConnell will release an all new ten track instrumental album titled ‘Unsung Cities And Movies Never Made’ as a Limited Edition vinyl pressing, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. ‘Unsung Cities And Movies Never Made’ was recorded and mixed by long-time engineering collaborator, John Siket, and culled primarily from a single recording session that took place at The Barn in VT in December 2009. The album was recorded with guitarist Adam Zimmon, bassist Reed Mathis and drummer Gabe Jarrett. It will be released in an edition of 1,000 (each individually numbered) and is pressed on 180g red vinyl.

“Movies never made, well, at least not yet. A series of soundtracks, maybe… Can a soundtrack exist without a film? Okay, future soundtracks, soundtracks-in-waiting, potential scores searching for a script…Sprinkled throughout are a few impressionistic interpretations of unsung cities; not to say these places have never been mentioned in song, but certainly not over sung. Please enjoy these soundtracks as they float through time, a sort of phantom foreshadowing of films that lay in waiting and cities that, after this release, might be a little less unsung.” – Page McConnell, 2013

McConnell released his solo debut in 2007.
