Wilco will play a special set of exclusively fan requested songs on Friday, June 21, the opening night of their Solid Sound Festival. The band will accept song submissions before the show and then learn 50 of them for the festival. Roughly 20 of those songs will be selected at random for Wilco to perform during their set. The encore will then be chosen from songs submitted via Twitter, as well as a John Hodgman-led live version of “Stump the Band” (in the style of Johnny Carson). The idea is that Hodgman will poll audience members in order to find a challenging song for Wilco to play. This will be the band’s first—and possibly last—all-requests concert. More information on how to request songs will be revealed soon.

The Solid Sound Festival will take place June 21-23 at the Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA. Tickets to the event are currently on sale for $124.
