The Allman Brothers Band returned to New York’s Beacon Theatre last night for the fifth show of their annual March run. As previously reported, the North Mississippi Allstars Duo were among the evening’s special guests.

North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Luther Dickinson and drummer/washboard player Cody Dickinson emerged partway through The Allman Brothers Band’s first set for “Come on into My Kitchen.” Then, Gregg Allman Band saxophonist Jay Collins joined The Allman Brothers Band and the Dickinson brothers for “One Way Out.” Though the Dickinsons left the stage, Collins remained for two extended jams, “Hot ‘Lanta” and this year’s first take on “All Along the Watchtower.”

Later in the night, Tedeschi Trucks Band trombonist Saunders Sermons joined The Allman Brothers Band during their second set for “Mountain Jam.” Last night’s show also featured both The Beatles’ “Rain” and Jim Hendrix’s “1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be),” two covers The Allman Brothers Band introduced this run, as well as “Low Down Dirty Mean,” an original the band revived for the first time sine 1992 last week.

After their Beacon show, ABB guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks made their way to New York’s Brooklyn Bowl and joined Soulive during the end of their show.
