Phil Lesh, Joe Russo, Jason Crosby and Cass McCombs joined Bob Weir last night for his “Weir Here” performane/conversation last night at TRI Studios. Weir kicked things off with “Sugar Magnolia” before Lesh took the stage in the middle of that first song. The Furthur bassist then stuck around for “Cosmic Charlie” and the two were joined by Jason Crosby for “Jack Straw.” The music then came to a stop for as Weir and Lesh were joined by Steve Parish for a conversation about original Grateful Dead keyboardist Ron “Pigpen” McKernan.

After wrapping up the conversation, Weir was joined by Lesh, Crosby and Russo for the Pigpen-penned tune “Operator,” followed by “Lazy River Road” and “Playin’ in the Band.” The music again came to a stop for another conversation, this time about longtime Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. The group was then joined by Cass McCombs for a set-closing “Friend of the Devil.”
