Prince Adds Tiny Colorado Dates

Prince has confirmed a four-show run at Denver, CO’s Ogden Theatre this spring. The Purple One will play two shows a night at the 1,700-person club on May 12 and 13. The shows are slated to start at 8 and 11:30 PM. Prince’s run comes right after a busy week of shows at the Ogden that includes appearances by Jim James (5/9) and The Meter Men featuring Page McConnell (5/10). An extra date posted on Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste’s homepage also seems to indicate that The Meter Men have a hold on the venue for May 11. Furthur also recently crammed into the Denver club.

1700 people in the Ogden is sardines in a can, should be a fun set of nights for those in attendance.

$277 a ticket is a little steep

$277 is definitely not chump change, however, that’ll still not even get you onto the floor at MSG for a Prince show I’ve heard… So considering that’s what he’s charging for a super intimate theatre show, it’s not that abs
urd. Prince live is an experience like no other. Dude’s badass!!

Yeah, $277 is fair for intimate Prince show in a sardine can. Unnnlessss… He does not play guitar. Then, quel drag.
