El Ten Eleven’s Gear Stolen

Three days before the start of their two-month spring tour, a majority of El Ten Eleven’s gear and instruments were stolen out of their van in front of their rehearsal space in Los Angeles. The stolen items include one of bassist/guitarist Kristian Dunn’s prized Carvin doubleneck bass/guitars and his Wal fretless bass, as well as two pedal boards filled with dozens of looping and effects pedals and most of drummer Tim Fogarty’s drum kit, including his rototoms, cymbals, kick pedal, all of his electronic drum equipment and bass head. If you have any information, the band asks that you please contact David Swartz at 303-434-1910 or info@fakerecordlabel.com.

El Ten Eleven are still planning to tour as scheduled and as an immediate effort to raise funds to get new gear. This morning they launched a pre-order of their forthcoming remix LP, Transitions Remixed, which is due out digitally everywhere on April 9 via the band’s own Fake Record Label and features remixes by such acts as Com Truise, Slow Magic, Max Tundra, D33J, Amp Live (of Zion I), Steed Lord and more. Anyone who pre-orders the album will get an immediate download of Slow Magic’s remix of “Yellow Bridges.” The band has also put together various packages that include autographed CDs, posters, t-shirts, a hang with the band and lifetime guest list to help get them back on the road. All details can be found here.

The group will perform at San Antonio, TX’s The Korova on Friday.

I’m not blaming the victim, crooks suck and I hope they’re caught soon and the equipment returned. but why would you ever leave tens of thousands of dollars of gear unattended in a vehicle?
