Last year, the San Francisco Giants hosted a Jerry Garcia tribute on August 1. Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Jackie Greene and Bill Walton were among the participants who celebrated Garcia’s birthday. This year on August 5 the reigning World Series champions will offer a nod to the Grateful Dead en total. Tickets are available here.

The team’s digital invitation explains:

The Giants invite you to come to the ballpark to celebrate one of the most legendary and coveted groups associated with the San Francisco music scene, The Grateful Dead! Your special event ticket package includes a ticket to the Monday evening game versus the Milwaukee Brewers, and a collector-edition Grateful Dead-themed Giants item! Members of the original band, as well as members of the Garcia family will be in attendance and participating in special pre-game components, such as the National Anthem! Proceeds from every special event ticket sold will be donated to various non-profits near and dear to the band’s heart. This special event is always one of the biggest of the year, and we look forward to your family, friends, and fellow Dead Heads supporting a great cause and celebrating the rich legacy of the Grateful Dead with the San Francisco Giants!
