The Rolling Stones Will Probably Announce a World Tour on Wednesday

The Rolling Stones are getting ready to make a big announcement on Wednesday, April 3, and most sources believe that it has something to do with their rumored upcoming World Tour. On Friday, the band changed the cover photo on their official Facebook page to the above image, which includes the hashtag #StartMeUpWednesday. They also posted the status “5 Days & Counting…,” and have since posted “4 Days & Counting…” on Saturday and “3 Days & Counting…” today. In addition, various billboards with The Rolling Stones’ lips and tongue logo have popped up in cities like Chicago and San Francisco.

Rolling Stone reports that the tour will begin on May 2 and will include 18 stops throughout North America. The magazine claims that the band will be paid $4-5 million per show, and that the top tickets will costs $500-$650. Australia’s also reports that the Rolling Stones will announce a few tour dates Down Under this Wednesday as well.

I saw the Rolling Stones in 89 with Bill Wyamn for 30 bucks….not worth it for these geezers.
