String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth got into the April Fool’s game yesterday. In a Facebook post the keyboardist declared, “Good morning, I’m very excited to announce my newest project today. I will join three other fabulous keyboardists for a worldwide KISS On Keys tour. We will be playing our versions of KISS songs using only keyboards, accordions and melodicas. From Portland, Maine, to Moscow, Russia, follow us as we “rock and roll all night and party every day” across the globe.” The fake supergroup reportedly featured fellow keyboardists with a sense of humor like Umphrey’s McGee’s Joel Cummins, ALO’s Zach Gill and The Motet’s Joey Porter.

Unfortunately for SCI-loving KISS fans, the post was a joke. However, on March 1, Hollingsworth and his band did jam with another scene keyboardist. Nigel Hall sat in with the musicians at Houston, TX’s Last Concert Cafe for “Will It Go ‘Round In Circles.” In addition, both members of Big Gigantic joined Kyle Hollingsworth Band for their encore cover of The Beatles’ “Taxman.”
