Paul McCartney has officially confirmed his upcoming date at Boston’s Fenway Park. As previously reported, Sir. Paul will return to Fenway on Tuesday, July 9. McCartney last performances at Fenway took place on August 5 and 6, 2009, where he set the record for the highest ever two-day concert attendance in the history of the storied ballpark.

This time McCartney will play the baseball stadium “for one night only.” The show is part of his Out There tour, during which McCartney will visit both places of historical significance to him and new spots for the very first time. McCartney’s band will feature longtime collaborators Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (keyboards), Rusty Anderson (guitar), Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums) and Brian Ray (bass/guitar).

Tickets to McCartney’s Fenway show will go on sale beginning Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at livenation.com or redsox.com.
