Former Major League Baseball player and current San Francisco Giants third base coach Tim Flannery sat in with Railroad Earth at San Francisco, CA’s Fillmore on Saturday night. Flannery emerged during Railroad Earth’s second set to supply lead vocals and acoustic guitar on “Hillbilly Rain.” The song led into an audience-led “Let’s Go Giants” chant. He returned later in the night to play acoustic guitar and share lead vocals on “On the Banks” during Railroad Earth’s encore. Flannery has focused on his music as of late and shared the stage with Bob Weir on a few occasions.

In addition, New Monsoon guitarist Jeff Miller joined Railroad Earth for “Hard Livin’” during their second set. Dead Winter Carpenters’ Jenni Charles also sat in with Railroad Earth at the Fillmore on “Fisherman’s Blues” this past Friday.

Railroad Earth will perform at Clarks Grove, MN’s Bella Music Festival on May 25.
