HeadCount will auction off seats in the Capitol Theatre’s Presidential Box for all nine of the upcoming sold out Furthur shows. The organization has teamed up with the venue to create the “Capitol Community,” a charitable program that supports education and activism in Westchester County. For most shows at the Cap, HeadCount will auction four seats in the box. The proceeds will go toward scholarships for area school teachers to attend curriculum training at the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, so they can bring rock history back to classrooms in Westchester County. Funds from the Furthur auctions will go toward charities that have been chosen by the band.

Each Capitol Community auction starts at $200 for the four seat box. In addition to the Furthur shows, there are also auctions for seats at the upcoming B.B. King (ends today), John Prine (ends tomorrow) and Dark Star Orchestra (ends May 7) shows. You can bid for any of these shows here.

Furthur guitarist Bob Weir is a member of HeadCount’s Board of Directors.
