Grace Potter & The Nocturnals’ Scott Tournet to Release Solo Album

Grace Potter and the Nocturnal’s Scott Tournet will release his solo album VER LA LUZ on May 14. The new record, which is his first solo effort since 2006’s Everyone You Meet Is Fighting A Hard Battle was self-produced and will be independently released. The album features contributions from drummer Austin Beede (formerly of Alberta Cross) and singers Lowell Thompson and Kelly Ravin. Tournet also gets some help from bandmate Grace Potter, who co-wrote “Treasure” and “The Longing,” and who duets with him on the latter.

A new track from VER LA LUZ entitled “Lights Go Down” has premiered over at Paste.

Here’s a look at Scott Tournet’s upcoming tour dates

May 16 Burlington, VT—Higher Ground
May 17 Boston, MA—Brighton Music Hall
May 18 Brooklyn, NY—Brooklyn Bowl
May 19 Baltimore, MD—8×10 Club
