Widespread Panic’s spring tour continued this weekend. As previously reported, the veteran group surprised fans by offering free, official live streams for their weekend via their social media channels.

Last night, Panic performed at Minneapolis, MN’s Orpheum Theatre. The show fell on frontman John Bell’s birthday and had an overall festive feel. During their encore, Panic also performed their new cover of The Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” electric for the first time. Panic debuted the song in Denver, CO last February during their acoustic Wood Tour but had yet to rework the number for their electric setup.

In addition, on Saturday Panic celebrated the music of The Band at Chicago, IL’s UIC Pavilion. At the end of their encore, the group covered “Ophelia” and segued into another Band tune, “The Shape I’m In.” While Widespread Panic has performed both songs in the past, the move was particularly noteworthy with the anniversary of Levon Helm’s passing in clear site. (Helm died on April 19. 2012).

Widespread Panic will perform at Louisville, KY’s Palace Theatre tomorrow.
