Greyboy Allstars Confirm Additional Dates, Blue Note Residency

The Greyboy Allstars—who released their fourth studio album Inland Emperor today—have announced a new run of dates. Their upcoming gigs include four shows at Seattle, WA’s Dimitirious Jazz Alley as well as three nights at the Blue Note in NYC beginning on June 24. Houston Person, James Carter and Gary Bartz will perform with the band in New York as part of the Blue Note Jazz festival. The tour includes a few other multi-night runs, and kicks off this Thursday at the Wanee Festival in Live Oak, FL.

man, i’ve only seen them once and that was back in 07 at big summer classic and i have been checking their dates ever since! we need some midwest dates!!! one of the best shows i’ve ever seen.

@bj – that’s because they are one of the best bands out there. They never disappoint. It stinks but for the past 8-10 years they’ve been playing very few shows each year with most of them on the right or left coast or New Orleans….not a whole lot in the middle of the country. I keep checking back and hoping for a show near me but it doesn’t happen. Each time I’ve seen them has required a 3 hour drive to NYC when they do a residency somewhere and crashing on someone’s couch.
