Gregg and Devon Allman Share the Stage at Wanee

Gregg Allman sat in with his son Devon Allman at Live Oak, FL’s Wanee Music Festival yesterday. The elder Allman joined Devon and his Royal Southern Brotherhood for a five-song stretch that included “Jelly Roll” and “One Way Out.” Artemis Pyle, Tab Benoit and Johnny Sansonne also sat in with Royal Southern Brotherhood during their performance on the Mushroom Stage, including the “One Way Out” climax. Wanee continues this evening with performance by Widespread Panic and The Allman Brothers Band.

Is this the first time Gregg met his son?

They met when Devon was 13, he is now 40. They have played together several times.

Would love for Gregg and Devon to record an album together. Blues covers would be fine.
