Bob Weir sat in with Jay Lane’s Jay’s Happy Sunshine Burger Joint at Port Chester, NY’s Copacabana last night. Weir, Jason Crosby, Jeff Chimenti and Leslie Mendelson joined Lane after Furthur performed at the nearby Capitol Theatre for “Little Red Rooster,” “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” and “Cassidy.” Chimenti and Weir also appeared on “Deep Elem Blues” while Crosby sat in for most of the night. This is the second time in less than a week that Weir has performed with Lane at the tiny Port Chester club.

In other news, Weir has confirmed that his Weir Here show will hit the road this fall. During last week’s broadcast, TRI Studios CEO Chris McCutcheon confirmed that the tour will make stops at the Capitol Theater, Philadelphia’s Tower Theater, Richmond, VA’s The National, San Rafael, CA’s Terrapin Crossroads and Mill Valley, CA’s Sweetwater. In addition to Weir, the evenings will feature Lane, Crosby Furthur/RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, Jonathan Wilson and Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools. Special guests including Leslie Mendelson will also appear on select shows, and Steve Parrish will hold down the couch.
