The New York City Parks Foundation has announced the schedule for the 2013 SummerStage festival. The event brings over 100 free music, dance, comedy and theater programs to 17 parks across all of the city’s five boroughs. This year’s performers include The Zombies, Django Django, Dead Prez, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, Big Star, WAR, Red Baraat, Shuggie Otis and more. There will also be a Charlie Parker Jazz Festival on August 24 and 25, featuring Kenny Garrett and Lee Konitz Quartet, among others.

In addition to the free Summerstage Shows, there will also be a few paid benefit concerts. Joan Baez will perform with The Indigo Girls on June 17, She & Him will play with Camera Obscura on July 6 and 8, and Ben Howard will do a show with Michael Kiwanuka on July 9. All of the paid concerts will take place at the Central Park stage. Tickets will go on sale in the future.
