Disco Biscuits and Conspirator bassist Marc Brownstein is reviving his old Electron side project for a few shows this May. Brownstein had been hinting about the group’s return via his social media lately, but it is now confirmed that the band will play four shows May 8-11. The project, which was formed in 2000 during Brownstein’s hiatus from the Disco Biscuits, will perform with a tweaked lineup that includes Disco Biscuits and Conspirator bandmate Aron Magner on keys, Lotus’ Mike Greenfield on drums and Brothers Past’s Tommy Hamilton on guitar. (Electron’s old drummer Joe Russo is sticking with Furthur for now).

A post on Brownstein’s Facebook page reads:

I will post websites in the comments for tickets when they become available! I’m always excited to play music, I had most of May off and I couldn’t think of a better way to add some shows. I know it’s short notice, but I feel like that is the fun part! Tommy, Mike, Aron, and I are really pumped to dig into the catalogue of songs that were written for Electron in the early 2000’s. Should be really interesting.

As previously reported, tickets to the May 8 show in Baltimore are now on sale for $18, though they will be $23 on the day of the show. Doors will open at 8pm and the music will begin at 9. Ticket information for the other shows is not yet available.
