The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department is evaluating a proposal to change the name of Jerry Garcia Amphitheater to Levitts Pavilion. So far no decision has been made, but some Bay Area residents have started a Facebook group to bring attention to the issue. The Jerry Garcia Amphitheater is the site of the annual Jerry Day celebration, which celebrates the life of the late Grateful Dead frontman while raising money for a variety of causes. The ampitheater is located in McLaren Park in southeastern San Francisco.
