Sam Bush and Craig Sorrells Sit in with Gov’t Mule at MerleFest

A few different special guests sat in with Gov’t Mule at Wilkesboro, NC’s MerleFest yesterday. Halfway through their set, the members of Gov’t Mule invited out trumpeter Craig Sorrells for a version of “Devil Likes It Slow.” (Sorrells has performed as part of the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam horns and sat in with Gov’t Mule in North Charleston, SC earlier in the week). Then, mandolin player Sam Bush joined Gov’t Mule for a cover of the Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter classic, “Loser.” Later in the night, Sorrells returned for a jam based around the Grateful Dead’s “The Other One” and the lone encore of “Soulshine.”

Gov’t Mule will perform in Cincinnati, OH this evening.
