Members of Leftover Salmon, The Motet to Play Memorial Show for Lighting Designer Joe Cahill

Members of Leftover Salmon and The Motet will perform at a show celebrating the life of lighting designer Joe Cahill, who died last week. The event will take place a The Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO on Monday, May 13 at 7pm. Tickets are $15, and all of the proceeds will go to a fund benefiting Cahill’s daughter Cassidy. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle. All donations should be made payable to the Cassidy Cahill Fund at Bank of the West. A PayPal account has also been setup for online donation.

Cahill was the house lighting director at The Fox Theatre, as well as the Boulder Theatre. He also toured as lighting designer for Leftover Salmon. Cahill was killed in New Orleans on April 28 after being shot by a homeowner who claimed that he ran into his residence and began fighting with people. Police had stopped Cahill in the street prior to the incident, but he allegedly pushed one of them and ran away. No charges have been filed at this time. Cahill was 40 years old.
