For a few years, Burlington, VT guitarist Seth Yacovone seemed poised to burst onto the national scene. He sat in with Phish, Trey Anastasio toyed with adding him to his solo group and Seth Yacovone Band continued to tour the country. Then, Yacovone broke up his trio and returned to his local Vermont club circuit.

However, as reported in the new issue of Relix, the guitarist plans to return to the touring world. He has put together a new version of the Seth Yacovone Band—featuring Alex Budney (bass) and Steve Hadeka (drums)—and plans to recommit himself to the trio format. The new Seth Yacovone will make their public debut at Morrisville, VT’s Moog’s Place on June 1. The band will offer two sets of “original bluesy hard rock improv power trio music.” They plan to debut a slew of new material at the gig.
