Anders Osborne joined Phil Lesh, John Kadlecik, Jeff Chimenti and Joe Russo for a cover-filled Ramble at Terrapin Crossroads last night. The group got going with a rendition of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Ramblin’ Man” early in the first set, which also included takes on Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold” and a set-closing version of Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff.”

The second set began with Jimmy Cliff’s “The Harder They Come” sandwiched between “Scarlet Begonias” and “Fire On The Mountain.” The next half of the set consisted of “The Other One” sandwiched between “Dark Star,” which went into a “St. Stephen” that segued into a set-ending take on Wilson Pickett’s “In The Midnight Hour.” The band encored with the Anders Osborne original “Curing On The Inside.”

Lesh, Russo, Chimenti and Kadlecik will be joined by the North Mississippi Allstars’ Luther Dickinson tonight for the first of a series of Rambles at Terrapin Crossroads. As previously reported, Luther and his brother Cody Dickinson will perform at Terrapn Crossroads as the North Mississippi Allstars Duo on August 3.
