Del McCoury Band, the Travelin’ McCourys, The Steel Drivers, The Punch Brothers and Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers ft. Edie Brickell are among the acts confirmed for the World of Bluegrass. The World of Bluegrass, a week dedicated to the bluegrass music community, runs from September 24-28 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The week includes the Business Conference (Sep. 24-26) focusing on development and networking for bluegrass professionals, the International Bluegrass Music Awards (Sep. 26) and the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival (Sep. 27-28) featuring concerts, workshops and jam sessions. Other confirmed acts include: Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Seldom Scene and Della Mae are just a sampling of the many artists slated to appear. The all-star band is hands down, incredible: Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, Alison Krauss, Del McCoury, Tony Rice, and Mark Schatz.

The events are all held within blocks of each other, and include both an outdoor and indoor music stage, an indoor workshop stage, a Music Expo to showcase the latest music products, the North Carolina Whole Hog Barbecue State Championship, a public street fair, and all-day jamming. Members of the International Bluegrass Music Association may purchase tickets at a discounted price and participate in the exclusive pre-sale beginning today. Ticket sales will open to non-members on May 29.
