While on break between Furthur shows, drummer Joe Russo will play a free jazz show at New York’s The Edge this Thursday. For the second time this year, the drummer will partner with saxophonist Roy Nathanson (Jazz Passengers, Sotto Voce) and organist Greg Lewis (Greg Lewis Trio, Groove Project) for the intimate performance. Several special guests will join the trio during the show, including Marc Ribot, Leo Hardman, Isaih Barr and Nathanson’s son Gabe. The gig is slated to run from 7:30-9pm.
