Stanley Jordan, Andre Heyward Join DMB in Austin

Stanley Jordan and Andre Heyward both sat in with Dave Matthews Band last night at the Austin 360 Amphitheater in Austin, TX. Jordan contributed his guitar chops on the band’s first “Cry Freedom” since November 10, 2010 and “Rhyme and Reason.” A few songs later, Jazz Lincoln Center Orchestra member Heyward took the stage with his trombone for “Jimi Thing” late in the set. The show also included a few rarities like “Help Myself” and “Say Goodbye.”

Dave Matthews Band were scheduled to perform at the Ampitheatre on Tuesday night, but the show was postponed due to inclement weather. The group will kick off a two-night run with Galactic at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, NY on Saturday.

Heyward. He used to play in Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra.

I apologize. It really is Hayward. My bad.
