Omega Moos Confirm Two Night Run in Charleston

The Omega Moos, featuring Brendan Bayliss, Ryan Stasik, and Kris Myers of Umphrey’s McGee with Jamie Shields (formerly of the New Deal) on keyboards, have announced a two night run at the Charleston Pour House in Stasik’s new hometown of Charleston, SC. The first show will be two full sets and will take place on Thursday, October 3. The next show will consist of one long set and will take place Friday, October 4 following the Widespread Panic show in Charleston.

The Omega Moos perform the music of Umphrey’s McGee and the New Deal, as well as plenty of classic rock covers. Two-night tickets to the run will go on sale this Friday, May 31 at noon local time for $33, with individual tickets going on sale for $18. We spoke with Stasik recently about the Omega Moos and a number of other things. You can check out that interview here.

In related news, Umphrey’s McGee will open for Widespread Panic during both of their shows in Charleston on October 4 and 5.

Is it wrong that I liked this band way more than upchuck McGee. Who wants to hear shit like Mantis, Mail Package, anything jake sings or anything upchuck mcpubes has written in a very long time. Covers are key for Upchuck and the Omega Moos with tnd s drummer was great. If Myers isn’t up for two weeks sucking on a tail pipe before these shows they should be cool. Cooler than Umphreys and all their overcharged marketing ploys.
