Justin Vernon has confirmed yet another project while Bon Iver remain on hiatus. On September 3, his experimental Volcano Choir project will release their next studio album Repave on Jagjaguwar. In addition, the ensemble will embark on their first-ever North American tour. The group also features Collections of Colonies of Bees members Jon Mueller, Chris Rosenau, Matthew Skemp, Daniel Spack and Thomas Wincek

Volcano Choir released their studio debut Unmap in 2009. Their new project was recorded at Vernon’s Fall Creek, WI studio April Base. Vernon’s other projects include a new album with his blues-rock band Shouting Machines and producing the new Blind Boys of Alabama album.
