moe. and Keller Williams shared a bill at Chesterfield, VA’s Heritage Amphitheater last night. During moe.‘s encore, Williams returned to the stage to join the evening’s closing act on a cover of The Band’s “Up On Cripple Creek.” As first reported by our sister magazine Relix, moe. will record their next album at Band drummer Levon Helm’s studio this fall. moe. also paid tribute to the Grateful Dead last night by covering “Casey Jones.” Drummer Vinnie Amico supplied lead vocals on the song, which moe. has only played a handful of times since they debuted the cover in 2005.
moe. will perform at Danbury, CT’s Ives Concert Park this evening while Williams will appear at Fredericksburg, VA’s Fredericksburg Riverboat tonight.
