Rock The Earth, a non-profit environmental organization that partners with the music industry, has announced its plans for this year’s Bonnaroo, which takes place June 13-16 in Manchester, TN. The group will host music performances, artist interviews, eco-activities, environmental film screenings and a mobile phone recycling drive. The theme for this year’s performance and discussions will be “Social Chance Through Music,” exploring what inspires musicians to be activists, as well as the interconnectedness between music and social, environmental, political and/or philanthropic causes.

A number of artists will participate in Rock The Earth’s programming, including John Oates, Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes), John Fullbright, Black Prairie, Allen Stone, Johnnyswim, Wake Owl, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, Ryan Montbleau Band, Naia Kete, The Mowgli’s Nocona and The Revivialists.

The organization will also host “Green Screen Presented by Rock The Earth” in the Bonnaroo CinemaTent, which will feature film Q&As. The following films will be shown:

Revolution introduced by director Rob Stewart – Musicwood: The Documentary introduced by filmmakers Maxine Trump and Josh Granger, and Chris Thomas, artist relations manager at C.F. Martin & Co. – GMO OMG presented by filmmaker Jeremy Seifert – Bidder 70 presented by film editor Ryan Suffern and introduced by special guest Alex Ebert from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
