Gov’t Mule and Primus co-headlined a show at Charlottesville, VA’s 13 nTelos Wireless Pavilion last night. As expected, a few collaborations occurred throughout the night.

During Gov’t Mule’s set, Les Claypool emerged to play bass on “Greasy Granny’s Gopher Gravy (Part 1)” and “Greasy Granny’s Gopher Gravy (Part 2).” The Primus bassist played the studio versions of both songs, which appear on the guest-heavy The Deep End Vol. 2. Then, Warren Haynes returned the favor by sitting in with Primus on “Lee Van Cleef” during their 3D show.

Gov’t Mule will perform at Newport, RI’s Newport Music Series this evening while Primus will appear at Haynes’ Mountain Jam Festival.
