The Meter Men to Play After Phish

The Meter Men have confirmed a special Phish after show. On July 30, the Meters offshoot will perform at Stateline, NV’s South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The gig will start at 11:30pm, after Phish performs the first of two shows at the nearby Lake Tahoe Harveys Outdoor Arena.

The Meter Men features Meters co-founders George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli and Zigaboo Modeliste. A rotating mix of guest keyboardists have performed with the trio during the past few years. Most recently, Phish’s Page McConnell has served as the trio’s regular keyboardist. For this gig, Papa Grows Funk founder John “Papa” Gros will play keys with the band.

Seems pretty ignorant to use the word retarded in a demeaning way. Obviously Page will sit-in but not play the whole show. Stoked!!!
