Bob Weir made his return to “Weir Here” yesterday with a special “Weir Here Over There” performance at Terrapin Crossroads. That weekly series went on hiatus following Weir’s on stage collapse during the final night of Furthur’s run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.

Weir kicked off the show with a solo take on “Black Throated Wind” before being joined by Jay Lane and Rob Wasserman for Little Feat’s “Easy to Slip.” Jason Crosby, Leslie Mendelson and Dave School then jumped into the fray for “El Paso,” with Jeff Chimenti finally coming in for “Deep Elum Blues” and “Catfish John.”

Leslie Mendelson got the second set going with a solo performance of her song “Chasing the Thrill,” which was followed by a take on “Jericho” with Wasserman and Crosby. Next, Jonathan Wilson and his band took the stage for “The Way I Feel” and “Natural Rhapsody.” Beth Orton then sang a few tunes before the set wrapped up, including a version of the The Five Stairsteps “Ooh Child.”

The musicians returned to the Dead canon for the final set, with Weir, Wasserman, Crosby, Lane, Schools, Wilson and Mendelson coming out for “New Minglewood Blues,” “Easy Answers,” “Ramble on Rose,” The Beatles’ “Come Together” and, finally, “Playin’ In The Band.”

There’s no word yet on when the next episode of Weir Here will take place. As of now, Weir will be back on the road on June 26 for the firs in a series of solo acoustic performances.
