Covers and Sit Ins with Tedeschi Trucks and Grace Potter at Red Rocks

Tedeschi Trucks Band, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and JJ Grey & Mofro performed at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on Saturday evening. TTB and GPN co-headlined the fantastic show, which featured a number of fun sit ins and covers.

Grace Potter sat in with Tedeschi Trucks Band during their set for a take on John Prine’s classic “Angel from Montgomery,” while Mofro bassist (and longtime Derek Tucks Band member) Todd Smallie joined the group for a rendition of Derek & the Dominos’ “Anyday.” Temporary Tedeschi Trucks bassist Eric Krasno moved over to guitar on that song.

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals played an electrifying set that included covers of the Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil,” Hank Williams’ “Devil’s Trains” and the Black Sabbath tune “War Pigs.” Tedeschi Trucks keyboardist Kofi Burbridge also joined them for a song.
