“The album, which sold out as a vinyl release on this year’s Record Store Day, will also stream on Sportify Rhapsody and other streaming services.” Probably mean to say Spotify with a comma after it? Painful to read some times but we love ya still.

So annoying to read all the douchey comments on this site. Complaining about a comma? Really?

Your painful June 20, 2013, 13:20:54

It’s painful to see that proper use of grammar is being lost one comma at a time. Is it too much to ask a music news/journalism cite to proof what they post?

I gotta agree with the Caps fan here(for once). The amount of nit picking and negativity on this site is obsurd. Grow up people. Enjoy the music and appreciate that fact exists. I’m pretty sure the writers here are not trying to win a Pulitzer.

King Rhino June 20, 2013, 14:46:59

I doubt the writers on can spell “Pulitzer”. June 20, 2013, 15:00:03

I love that one of the critics here used incorrect grammar in pointing out that grammar and proofreading are dying. Yes, I am talking about “YOUR Painful”. It should be “YOU’RE painful” – as in you ARE painful. But maybe we are only lamenting the death of the comma (which has been used incorrectly since the dawn of English), and not the death of the apostrophe and understanding which word forms to use. Nothing better than a bunch of stoners trying to correct grammar hahaha :-)

Irony & Wine Part 2 June 20, 2013, 16:36:28

And yes, it should be SITE, not CITE. Unless, again, they are talking about giving credit, and not a place where people post things on the web. Man oh man. Before you criticize proofreading, you might want to try it yourself. English Teacher Rule #1.

It is the digital age that is destroying proper grammar!!
