moe. Looking for Filmmakers to Shoot moe.down

moe. is now accepting applications from filmmakers interested in documenting moe.down, the band’s annual three-day festival at Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin, NY. In anticipation of the festival, moe. released a news post earlier today that reads:

moe.down is looking to put together a small video crew to shoot great video at this years festival! We want you to help us document moe.down. Working under the direction of Jay Blakesberg, you will be shooting bands on stage (with an emphasis on moe.), offstage, backstage, fans, campers, hula hoopers, vendors, and everything in between! You MUST have high end video gear. Preferably a DSLR such as a Canon 5D Mark II or Mark III, or a Nikon D600 or D800 (we can discuss other gear options). We will hook you up with a festival production pass – this is a real shoot, so serious film makers only please! If you want to take on this super fun opportunity, email info@rockoutbooks.com. Please have cool video samples somewhere online as portfolio material and send links!. This is NOT for cell phone video shooters!

Is Labor Day in the beginning of August this year? The kids are going to be pissed.

Is this a paid gig? Professionals usually get paid.

sometimes “professionals” don’t get paid but get to be a part of something awesome and use it as a spring board towards/on other cool projects, or simply just enjoy the experience at hand— aint always bout the money my man

You can be sure they are paying Jay Blakesberg. He’s not going to do this just for the experience at hand. “serious film makers only” is kind of like “serious musicians only”. when was the last time moe. played for free?

some people June 26, 2013, 15:00:28

you can be serious, professional, super talented, and do stuff for free— it has happened. some people even say please and thank you still— though manners has little to do with this- some people
