Saratoga Springs, NY’s Putnam Den will host a series of shows after Phish plays the nearby Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center next weekend. On July 5, the Vermont-based Dead Sessions band will perform at the venue for the second year in a row. The evening will have a benefit slant: $2 from each ticket sale will be donated to Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation. The Dead cover project features Seth Yacavone (guitar), Toby Kniffin (guitar), Adam King (keys), Patrick May (bass), Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro (drums) and Steve Hadeka (drums). Then, on both July 6 and 7, rising Vermont band Twiddle will perform at the club.

This evening Putnam Den will also host an evening of Grateful Dead music tied to the New England music scene. Gratefully Yours will perform at the club at 9:30pm. The group brings together keyboardist Alex Mazur (The Deadbeats, MAAZE), drummer Russ Lawton (Trey Anastasio Band), guitarist Zach Nugent (Cats Under The Stars), drummer Bill Carbone (Max Creek, The Z3), guitarist Rick Nelson (High Peaks Band) and bassist Ed Grasmeyer (Cats Under The Stars).
